a New Paradigm philosophy for 2012 & beyond
Having a New Paradigm attitude and approach to life means taking responsibility, or being accountable, for everything you experience. With the understanding and acceptance that what you experience is based on perception. Perception being changeable, and something you can choose.
With this is in mind you approach life with an attitude of abundance - the belief that there is, and always will be, enough of whatever you need - and an understanding of certain universal laws (of with the Law of Attraction is one). Attitude also includes viewing challenges as opportunities for learning, growth and evolution.
The approach allows you to create a reality, or experience, for yourself that is infinitely more fulfilling than what’s currently on offer via the outward-focused goal of material acquisition. To change your experience of the outer world you don’t have to make anything happen out there, you make things happen within yourself and then allow the results to be reflected in your environment.
Thus, a summary of this New Paradigm philosophy looks towards what happens inside you and is demonstrated in your behaviour. Anyone already familiar with the concept of personal and/or spiritual development will recognise some if not all of the components listed below:
Present moment awareness, expanding consciousness, increasing self-awareness, exploring possibility, expanding potential, taking responsibility, becoming empowered, having faith, honouring truth, commitment to personal growth/development, allowing vulnerabililty in self and others, holding space for growth for self and others, releasing fear and loathing, releasing judgements, cultivating trust, and practicing unconditional love of the self and others.

“Every goal in life exists due to a perception of how it will make us feel. Many of us want to be, do or have certain things in order to feel good. The truth is that none of these things can make us feel good, only we can do that for ourselves. That's why one who seems to have it all can still be unfulfilled, and another can find peace in the middle of a battlefield. It’s all down to how we respond to people, situations and other elements in our lives.” ~ Kirsten Deacon
